= Minigames Overview =

There can only be one minigame in a room at a time. Trivia Tracker functions identically to a minigame, so it must be ended with ~tt endgame before a minigame can be started (and the minigame must be ended before regular Trivia Tracker can be resumed). A minigame being active will allow the commands on this page to be used; they will only affect the current minigame.

Minigames are to the Trivia Tracker Leaderboards as officials are to the trivia ladder. Each time you host a minigame it will have its own points which will be erased when the game ends, but can contribute to the permanent leaderboards. The commands here only affect the current game’s points, not the permanent leaderboards (commands that start with ~ttl affect permanent leaderboards).
|
~minigameend
|| Ends the current minigame. You must end your minigame before TT can be started again. All temporary points stored in the minigame will be lost, so make sure to record them before ending it.

Remember that above all, the purpose of minigames is to have fun. When you’re hosting, you should come prepared and be ready to make changes on the fly if your plans get thrown off track. For example, if you are planning on hosting a duel but only 4 players show up, you could either change which minigame you host or change how you host the duel you originally planned (like by giving each player 3 lives). When in doubt, ask an auth for clarification and ideas on how to adapt.

Whether you’re changing the rules out of necessity or just for fun, make sure the players know and try not to change things too drastically mid-game.
All Jeopard-E-run minigames must be started with ~minigamenew [name of minigame]. If there’s already a minigame or TT happening in the room, it must be ended with ~tt endgame first. See the overview page for more info on this.
